Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Voilo LLC (“Voilo,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit voilo.ai, join our waitlist, or use the Voilo mobile app (together, the “Service”).
The short version: we collect what we need to run your conversations and track your progress. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Information we collect
When you visit the website or join the waitlist
- Waitlist details: your email address, the language you’re interested in (optional), and how you found us (for example, a link you clicked).
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting and email-list providers process your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and block spam. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
When you use the Voilo app
- Account information: your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information you approve. You can also try Voilo as a guest.
- Learning data: your target language, level, preferences, vocabulary, mistakes, and progress.
- Conversation content: what you say and type during conversations, including transcripts of your speech, and the AI tutor’s responses. See Voice and AI below.
- Subscription status: purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We receive information about your plan and its status, not your card details.
- Device and usage data: app version, device type, operating system, crash reports, performance data, feature usage, and a push-notification token if you allow notifications.
- Support and feedback: anything you send us, such as emails, bug reports, or feedback, including any attachments.
2. How we use information
- To run the Service: conversations, corrections, translations, vocabulary tracking, lessons, and progress.
- To personalize your learning, such as adapting difficulty and bringing back words and mistakes you’re working on.
- To keep the Service secure, reliable, and fast: preventing abuse, enforcing usage limits, diagnosing errors, and monitoring performance and cost.
- To improve Voilo, mostly using aggregated or de-identified information.
- To communicate with you about your account, early access, important changes, and support requests. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
3. Voice and AI
Voilo is built around spoken conversation. When you use the microphone, your audio is sent securely to our AI providers to transcribe your speech and generate the tutor’s spoken reply. Transcripts and conversation text are stored with your account so features like corrections, vocabulary, and mistake tracking work across sessions. Audio may be stored where a feature needs it, or when you include it with feedback.
We do not use your voice to identify you, and we do not create voiceprints. You can turn off microphone access at any time in your device settings.
AI-generated responses, corrections, and translations can be inaccurate. Please don’t share sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government ID details) in your conversations.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Voilo, and only as needed for them to provide their services to us:

| ElevenLabs | Voice generation (text-to-speech) |

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
5. Data retention
We keep account and learning data while your account is active so your progress is there when you return. Waitlist information is kept until we launch and contact you, or until you ask us to remove it. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, security, or billing reasons.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, or get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete your account and personal information.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- Withdraw permissions, such as microphone or notifications, in your device settings.
To make a request, email contact@voilo.ai from the address on your account. You can also delete your account from within the app where that option is available. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
7. Children
Voilo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9. International users
Voilo LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
